Need help ordering 3mm corner seals and apex seal springs

Hey guys,

I tore apart my jdm S5 motor to freshen it up and found out it had 3mm seals in it.
I have a set of RA 3mm Super seals on their way.
but i need to order new 3mm solid corner seals and the single apex seal spring from mazda .

I was looking through the first gen parts fische and i just want to make sure I have the right part numbers, I just dont want to order the wrong parts and I dont think they will be much help.

I think i have to get the gsl-se 13 springs the part number is 1757-11-304 do these have 3mm solid corner seals????

and would the corner seals for the 13b gsl-se be 3mm solid corner seals or which model should i look for????
thanks for the help,

I've always seen the corner seals for a 3mm 13b apex seal rotor to have the rubber insert. It helps with starting. Why do you need solid corner seals? 13b gsl-se used 3mm apex seals and the corner seals have the appropriate 3mm groove. You have the right part number for the apex seal springs.

This is from MazdaComp directly:

The following parts are recommended for all 1976-85 13B rebuilds. Certain upgraded parts have been substituted, but may not be stock. These are the parts normally sent out when people want to order a basic rebuild kit.

Early 13b's (pre-'76) used solid corner seals. Many people like them (I have them in my engine). One nice thing is there is no rubber inserts to lose.

Check out Mazdatrix:

http://www.mazdatrix.com/b3.htm

The part numbers at Mazdatrix are similar to what Mazda uses (in case you are looking to get from Mazda). They do swap numbers around and sometimes have an extra digit.

For instance, the corner seals that require the insert:

Mazdatrix: 11-3210-N225
Mazda: N225-11-321

Atkins sell the 3mm solid corner seals. Upgrade to the FD/3rd gen corner seal springs while you're ordering parts from them.

Like I said, you only have to flip the Mazdatrix part numbers around to get the Mazda number:

1011-11-321 would be the part # from Mazda for the solid corner seals

NF01-11-C24 for the FD corner seal springs

You would need 12 of each of these.

Atkins is the only one I know of that makes the solid corners seals any more. They have been doing so for quite a few years. On a side note this will probably stir up alot of crap but I won't ever use RA apex seals I know that they are cheap and lots of people seem to think they are good but they will destroy your rotor housings they are too hard

The RA super seals might actually be too abrasive, causing housing wear.

Ceramics are very hard and seem to last forever in an NA environment (with good tuning).

As for the solid corner seals, I think of them as being '74-'75 because I hate using negative language to describe things ie pre '76 spec ports or pre '86 GSL-SE.

Solid corner seals don't destroy housings until they crack along the sharp 90° slotted inner edge due to detonation. Atkins' corner seals have a rounded slot and less surface contact for cooler running and less chance for cracking under boost conditions.
