need help and opinions....

hey all i have a 1985 (gsl) with a 1982 engine....my questions are:

1. what do i need to swap second gen seats to my first gen? do they bolt right up? or do i have to mod it for them to fit?

2. i just put brand new motor mounts and a new trans mount on my car and for some reason theres still vibrations in the car, i wanna say worse then before but before was pretty bad, sooo i wont say that....so what could be causing that? is there a brake in period to soften the rubber? or did i "f" up ??
i got all the mounts from mazdatrix...what im thinking is that he gave me the comp. mounts witch are stiffer them o.e.m. but i could be wrong...

thanks for any info that is given....

If its doing it at idle (car not moving), then it is not a driveshaft issue. Start looking for a contact point between the exhaust and the chassis. All mounting points should be using rubber isolators, but if the exhaust touchs the chassis at any point you will get nasty vibrations.

Iirc, FB seat rails. Not sure how modding is involved in bolting them to the FC seats.

I believe that the bolt pattern for the 2nd gen seats are the exact same as the 1st gen...if I'm not mistaken!
