need help with nikki!!!
My problem is gas is getting to the carb, but doesn't seem to flow through it(out of the jets) when I try and start the car. The float bowl is half full, I have taken it apart several times and nothing seems to be clogged or out of order. the floats seem to be right, the needles don't seem to be sticking when I take off the air horn. Originally my fuel return line was clogged and making the carb flood, I fixed the line and now I can't get any gas through the jets. I'm pretty well stumped. thinking maybe fuel pressure?? BTW I've changed the fuel filter, checked afv selenoid

Ok, I can now get it to run but only for about 15 seconds. it slowly winds down and it sounds like a big vacuum leak when I hit the gas, I assume that's because it isn't getting gas?

There is a lot of good info in that thread.
I eventually had to get the carb rebuilt.

if there's fuel in the fuel bowl, fuel should go through the jets.
if no fuel through jets, you gotta take out each and every jet . clean them with carb cleaner and blow through them with high pressure air.

thanks for the info guys. I have yet again pulled the carb off , i checked all the jets and nothing I can find on the carb seems blocked at all. It kinda sounds like the shutter valve(w/that honking sound as the car dies) but I pulled that off and epoxied the holes about a month ago(unless it cracked or something) I'll check that in the morning along with the carb just to be sure
thanks again
thanks again
