Fuel

My standard carb is over fueling by a long way on my 12a. (13 miles to the gallon) Is there any way of setting up the mixture on the standard carb or should i just bin it?

my 79 12a new (1 year old ) got 29+ mpg on a 5 hour trip.
others recently have threads on over 30 mpg.

who knows what someone did to the car before you. Maybe rejetted the primaries with a hand drill for throwing flames out the back?

follow all systems for optimum function and you should see marked improvement.
Do a search on gas millage and find the one on getting over 30 mpg

there is a warning about going too lean though, ex gas temps increase and as in some way that I have to look up will hurt some internal engine seal( my take on it is apex or corner seal)

hope this helps

do not lean too much It runs on mixed gas when it is lean you dont get the mix you need , destroying your apex's,

Dont need to do that coz when ever i take my foot of the gas at over 4500 i get a 2 foot flame out of both tail pipes!

Thank for that looks like i'll be playing with the carb to night. Fun fun
