Need help with legspace

When I want to brake my upperleg hits the buttom of the steeringwheel. I ain't tall BTW.

How can I fix this?

I only came up with 2 options.
1)aftermarket steeringwheel with depth in it. OMP Rally for example.
2)Put the brakepedal further away from the seat.

I know I can't be the only one with this problem right?
Any tips on how to fix this?

Aftermarket seats are probably your best bet. I'm thinking of replacing mine for the same reason. In addition, my view through the windshield should be from a lower position, so a lower seat would help with that.

The thing is I'm actually a bit small.

With an aftermarket seat my view would be too low I sit just about right with the STOCK seat.

Ooh and I tryed putting the seat a bit more to the back. It did improved the clearance, but it's to far for the clutchpedal.

Can you put the clutch pedal closer to you? How do you do this? I have to sit close to the front to fully depress the clutchpedal.

I was thinking that 5cm=2,3inches should do the trick.

sounds like you need to adjust the clutch pedal. it should only take a small stab to disengage.

Why not just move your leg over so it won't hit the steering wheel?

Unless you can move the gas and brake pedal over as well, that won't really work.

Oh, I see- his leg is so short that to brake fully his leg is completely straight. Sorry, my bad. Hard for me to originally visualize since I am 6ft 5.

I'm 6' and there's no way for me to drive without my leg hitting the steering wheel when I brake, and even when I'm on the gas, it's pretty close. Luckily, as I mentioned above, a lower seat will fix that, and since I feel like I'm sitting too high anyway, it'll be an all around improvement.

odd i don't have that problem. i don't move my whole leg to brake. just pivot my foot on the heel. i position my heel pretty much flush with the brake pedal and pivot it over to get the gas.

Let me ask you people. When braking does your knee sit in front or behind the steeringwheel?

you need an aftermarket steering wheel with either a dish or a spacer. ive got a spacer on mine and i love it, tonnes of leg room

Which do you consider 'in front'? My knee is farther towards the front of the car, between the wheel and the pedals.

gsl-se seats have a lower seat tilt/height adjustment that lets you clear the steering wheel no prob - I'm 6'1" and fit fine.

My knee is between the wheel and the pedals.

I can't get any GSL-SE seats in Holland
