Need help in identifying function.

Hello Guys

I just got my first RX7 first gen, and I have no idea WTF is this.



Acoording to the previous owner it pull up and downthe rear suspenssion but is broken now.. hmmmm for and 84 doesn't seen right.


Did anybody knows ?

That's your back up temp gauge, the red button squirts oil from your hot start assist reservoir into the carb to create a smoke screen, which can be useful sometimes (my 84 GSL doesn't have that option)

Are you serious? If so, i guess my gauge is hidden and the red button is stuck cause my car is making a constant smoke screen at the moment lol

From the condition of the gauge face, I'd say it's function must be to rip most of the skin off your shin or kneecap when you're trying to crank left & punch the throttle at the same time.

If you had the rancho shocks this would adjust the firmness of the shocks.

Did rancho ever make shocks for rx-7's? I thought they only did trucks and offroad stuff.

Just trucks as far as I know. But from the description and the looks (looks just likr the remote adjuster) I'm thinking some one retrofit a pair?
