What adjuster ****? The ones on the motors?

If you suspect something electrical, (you arc'd something while pissing around under the hood, etc.) check the fuseable link on the left strut tower.

Done that. Also, I seem to recall that when you manually change the position of the light, spinning the ****, they take a few off/ons of the switch to work properly. I remember them going up and down a few times like a ghost then resetting. I even have one go up on its own and back. You probably just need a new fusible link.

Anyone got the plastic washers that go in the headlight assemblies? The round off ones which are on the "arm" of the rod which pushes the headlights up. Mine are fubar.

I don't now about the 82 but on my 84 & 85 the on /off switch only turns them on/off. The switch to the left of the gauge cluster makes them go up and down.

then there's something wrong with your wiring, rotorspeed. The switch on the gauge cluster should make them go up & down, yes, but the on/off switch should also pop them up when on and down when off.

Mine is doing the same thing... it used to work fine... it started raining yesterday, I put up the headlights, brought it home... won't go down now... I am beginning to think there is a relay or something that may have gotten wet and now it refuses to go down. Stays up fine and will go up with switch... just not done
