Need to check your batt clables to see if getting curent to the starter, also there is a single wire the connect to the solenoid could be loose or rusted

Clean off the battery posts and the insides of the cable connectors with one of those $4 double brushes from the autostore.

Ignition switch. From your post it's not making connection to the coils when you're cranking.
Prove it by wiring in a bypass switch in a circuit that you can switch closed as you start cranking. If it starts, then open the circuit and it should continue to run as if it's been bumped.
If all is thus, then change the ignition switch.

Another (less likely) fault if the above temporary switch doesn't solve the problem is the low tension wiring through all of the ignition circuit to the coils. It is possible that the starter is rocking the engine over when it engages, or otherwise somehow breaking the coil circuit.

Im with the ignition swith idea or the ignitions relay.

If your feeling dareing you can take off the dash panel and check the white and blue hatched wire that runs along the steering assembly thats the starter signal from the ignitions switch if you get power when you turn the key then thats good.
