Hey just got my 7 and love it, fast off the line (well was till now).

Anyways i was out driving her, and then the techo just died, and the car started to lose a lot of power, i've changed the sparkplugs (they needed to be done anyways) but i'm not the best with cars. just starting to learn. and i want to learn as much as i can about the 7's.

trailing ignitor or coil, trailing runs the tach so that is where your problem is

Easiest way to check would be to verify spark on both leading and trailing. It should be the trailing ignitor or coil that is causing your issue, but sometimes things get switched around a bit so its best to be sure before you start swapping parts. Good luck.

Losing the trailing ignitor will kill the tach, but make only a tiny difference in power. You have more than 1 issue.

Hmm, maybe someone moved the wire for the tach to the leading ignition. If you lost the leading ignition then you would definitely notice a loss in performance. Check for spark...

yep yep that sounds like it. Just switch the leading and trailing coil wires and take her for a spin. Could even be a leading ignitor, might have to switch those for a test as well.
