More questions on 12A rebuilds

I'm selling an '85 12A w/ 58kmi that a potential buyer claimed had "the look"
of a between chamber gasket leak like he'd had before. I've had the car since
53k a year and a half ago and have noticed no leaking. Is this a typical issue w/
12A's as he claims?

thanks!!!

On the beehive equipped engines, yes, a dowel pin leak is quite common after 100k, however, you can't 'see it' if the engine has been cleaned and will only show during operation.
