hey guys my g/f/s dad just gave me a mint 1985 rx7 gsl 12a my buddy and i have been working on this night and day and we can not find out what the problem is this is what it does i put starting spray in the carb it starts and revs to 6rpm and dies can you guys help i need to get this car on the road thanks

 

Sounds like you have spark, but no fuel. Begin with a new fuel filter, then check the pump. I take it you meant 6k rpm and not 6 rpm. lol.

fule pump would be my bet....drivers side by the back wheel, err above the axel but the frame rail woot good luck you will love the car
