Check the FAQs and use the Search function at the top right of the Forum. This question has been asked a million times and is actually covered in the FAQs under "Upgrading a 1st Gen".

2nd Gen ignition upgrade.
Turbo.
Synthetic lubrication throughout the entire drivetrain.
Forced air intake.

And, I'm wondering why some members are using their actual e-mail address as a user name? This isn't the first time I've seen that. Takes up the entire board, almost.

Too much work.

I've seen a 1st gen turbo run a 10.8 @125mph 1/4 mile.

Thats plenty fast!! Ill dig for the video...

^ TII stands for Turbo Second Gen, which is a single turbo.

michael_santiago@hotmail.com, you only have 7 posts. It's no big loss to just register another user name if the mods won't change your current one for you.

TII means it was the 2nd itteration of a turbo engine. Had nothing to do with being in a 2nd gen. 12AT was the 1st version.
