Lightbulb Need engine wiring help..

I am going to put my 12a with electronic ignition into my 79 RX7.. What will I need to do to wire it up to get it to run? My 79 came with points and I am putting a Electronic ignition with ignitors in it...

Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated..

I'm assuming that you're using the electronic dizzy with the ignitors mounted directly on it, since the 80 dizzy wit hthe remoted ignitors is a lot less common.

Download the 79 wiring diagram and an 81 wiring diagram, and look at section one; the differences are pretty clear to see.

How complicated this might be depends on if you are preserving or stripping your emissions; ECU and emissions changed quite a bit.

There's a link in the 1st gen FAQ page; takes you to here:

http://foxed.ca/foxed/index.php?page=rx7manual

Be a good idea to scan thru the FAQ page & get familiar with searching the archives section, before someone climbs up your leg and starts shouting "SEARCH FIRST!!!1!" Heh.
