Need Advice

I decided i was probably going to replace my stock header from my 84 12A with a RB header but I still need a muffler to finish off the exhaust and i was thinking i would probably do a Fabricated pipe between the two.

I do not know what kind of muffler would be best for the 84. The RB mufflers are pretty costly when there is a good deal of other things i need to do to the car as well.
I'm looking for an Alternative to the RB Muffler that would be as good or almost as good or if anyone knows somewhere i might be able to get a used RB muffler thats in good shape that would be nice to.
Would appreciate the advice.

Thanks!

You'll most likely get the following answers:

1. Racing Beat
2. Magnaflow
3. Some generic brand

But the honest truth is it's going to be on preference, the forum is pretty split on this, so you might not get a definite answer.

I have the complete RB system and wouldn't trade it for anything else.

by the time u spend all the money replacing all those "cheap" alternatives cause they burn out, u could have gotten one from rb and been done with it. also, anything else u put on it, u'll be back here complaining how loud it is. so go ahead and save the money and get the rb muffler.

A magnaflow will stand up agianst the heat, but is not very good at noise reduction.

Basically if you canget away with a loud car then the magnaflow is a good alternitive choise, but if you want/need a quiet car then bite the bullett and order the RB system.

I have a Magnaflow on my car and it has held up well so far
