need advice
I was searching for a track car, and I think I found one.

I'v got a lot of pro's and cons, but I would l like to hear your opinion.
My biggest concern is the rotary engine(reliability, maintenance-costs,...).
I don't think that 600 euro's (796.523 USD) is alot for that car.

That's a damn nice interior.. I love the Km/Hr speedo.. 200 looks so much better than 120.. LOL.. I think, if it runs ok.. go for it.. The link you posted didn't work, so I don't know what other information you have on the car.. I know that I could get over 800 bucks just parting the darned thing out.. Good luck.

Well whats your plans for it? You say track car, do you mean track only? And what kind of stuff you plan on doing to it? Dont worry about the engines reliability, they are very durable if properly maintained. Oh and welcome to the board.

Thanx for the warm welcome.
My plans for it are indeed track-use only. First I would leave it stock and later I'll maybe change some things (turbo and so).
I like this car, because it's a very rare car, special, and offcourse because it's a rotary . And because it has RWD.
About he info: it's the 1.3 135 bhp model(4 disc brakes), it has some rust(bodywork). and has done 120.000 km (about 74 564 miles). The first owner sold the car, because he had financial problems. The one that wants to sell it now, because he has no time for renovation. I've got another car that I'm considering (a GSI), but I would also like to learn. And it's a special car. Just not shure about the price.

One problem is it has a sunroof. You will need to remove the sunroof and weld a piece of sheet metal in the hole. For 600 euro it looks like a good deal. You could potentially sell the back seat and glass sunroof to someone in the US for $200 each if you can arrange economical shipping.

I'm just going to race it on the track. Recreational(for practice).
And why is the sunroof a problem?
And does anyone know where to buy parts (if necesarry) in Belgium( or surroundings)?
Thx for the help so far.
