Unhappy Need ac clutch

im looking for a ac ignition clutch, i believe its called, its the pulley that runs the ac, i have 85 gsl se if anyone has one please tell me ill give u a good price for it

What do you want? A ac compressor clutch or the pulley from the main crank that tranfer engine power via belt to the ac compressor?

Not real clear....

I think he means the clutched pully on the compressor itself. Some cars have it so that you can replace just the clutch and not have to replace the whole compressor. Our cars are not one of those as far as I know.

yea it is the clutch pulley, i talked to a mechanic who said all i had to do was replace that and that the compressor would b e fine... so would i have to replace compressor to?

If I didn't just toss my old compressor in the garbage I would have sold it too you. Unfortunately its not around any more.

You might be able to replace just the clutch, I'm not sure. Beyond charging mine with 134a last summer I try to pretend the whole thing is invisible when I'm working on my car. I have a compressor, I have no idea if it works as I never ran my project car long enough to try it before taking it apart.
