Well, my best 1/4 mile so far was a 16.7.i cant remember the speed anymore.
I was a test run with loads of fuel problems, and a very hot day (95+ deg F)Elevation is 5700 feet above sea level.

I think the arguments and insults being thrown around come out of two misunderstood external factors.

First, a dyno result can easily vary 20-30% depending on the machine, the operator, and local conditions. The figure you get is indicative not absolute.

Second, a streetport can vary in size nearly up to a bridge so expect up to 30% variation according to its size. Bigger is definitely better.

In addition, some people are getting confused between stockport [original] and streetport [ engine opened up and ports enlarged to an extent it can still be driven on the street]. Often the latter is called a extended port.

Well I'm currently campaining a small streetported 12a in a 15s bracket championship where I live (sea level) so far I'm winning but there are about 5 more races this year.

My best E/T is 15.2 without warming up the tires, drag radials. 2.1 0-60ft because of the bad traction at the track. If warmed that would knock about .3 and I would break the class.

car weighs 2100lbs or a bit less (stripped)

small streetported intakes (very very mild lots of torque down low though), radical exhaust (read biggest exhaust port possible) thru a mindtrain header and ends in a Greddy street muffler. Weber 45dcoe. 4.44 LSD diff, stock tranny/clutch, relocated battery, stock clutch fan, stock ignition. Timing is off and carb could be tuned better. I would say 14.7 with what I currently posted, tuning the engine better and driving it on a real sticky track.
