My plans for new wheels and paint on the turbo 7

Ive been planning on swapping out my rear end for a LSD for some time now.

But lately, GSL rears are damn near impossible to find, and I find myself thinking that a full GSL-SE swap is the only way to go.

I hate to have to sell my Kosie K1s, but I need a LSD and the bigger brakes would be great too.

so heres what im thinking,

Enkei MM2 in Anthracite in 16in with Khumo 712, 215/40/16 on the rear, and 205/40/16 on the front.

add a front dam and sideskirts, and paint the car a matching anthracite grey, and one of mantiss' carbon fiber hood.

this way, the paint matches the wheels, and the hood, cowl guage and wheel center caps match in carbon fiber. I think it will look hot.

Considering you have a turbo, it is probably a good idea to get an LSD in there. But all is not lost on the Kosies. Don't quote me on this, but I believe you can swap a GSL-SE pumpkin into a stock 83-85 rear end. I'm not positive, but I believe you can. I can't help you on the bigger brakes, but if you don't want to go through a whole suspension swap and getting new rims, this is the way to go.

I know about swaping the pumpkin, but I would still need to find a 83-85 rear, as my 82 has drum brakes.

350hp car + drum brakes is not a good combo.

the other reason I want to do the full suspension swap, is that I damaged the front left strut on my car when I put in the shox and springs.

Its not bad, I just broke both bolts off, on the bottom of the strut. Had to drill them out and run a bolt through.

Im fairly certain that my B&G springs and tokiko illuminas will fit the SE struts. Can anybody confirm this for me.

Do Luck: yeh, Big first gen parts like axles and suspension parts are hard to come by. Mainly due to rust.

Cali may have more parts, but at least I dont have to get emissions tested

Didn't know it was an 82. Can't just go by a username. My name says 85rotarypower, yet I own an 82.

i think it would look amazing. a complete makeover, and you'll think you're in a totally different car. yeah the k1's are ok, but really nothing special IMO.

GO FOR IT!

as far as performance, they are great!

they wheight like 11lbs, which is damn good. and in a light car like this, 15s might give better cornering than a 16 with a stiff *** 40 series sidewall.

as far as looks, they are a perfect color match to my original silver, and I like the look. I just made a decision to go with a SE rear and struts, and that required new wheels.

Ive been planning to get it repainted, and damn do I like the look of the Tornado silver 7s.
