My new rice! (painted Calipers) Big brake kit!

Hey guys,
for my widebody im doing the TII big brake kit up front before taking measurements and ordering my CCW's. Parts have been coming in like crazy and the only thing im waiting for is the 5 bolt TII hubs.

My setup includes:
11" TII powerslot rotors (from racing beat)
4 pot TII calipers reman
Respeed big brake adapter kit (Thanks Billy, your awesome!!!)
New grease seals
Inner wheel bearings
Brake hardware kit (from Mazdatrix.com)
SS braided DOT approved brake lines
Hawk HPS TII pads
And used front hubs from a forum member!

And like the post says heres the NEW RICE!!! I painted the calipers this evening lol...

Its going together well and im hoping the hubs will come in this week! Let me know what you guys think!

sorry for big pic. good idea to get the ss brake lines. mines starting to get stressed from hard driving and started cracking... the respeed brake kit was fabulous.

if the 5 lug hubs are used and need the races punched out.....have fun with the dremel! i know i did...

Sweet crap, so this kit changes it from the 4 lug to 5 lug? It's pretty much a conversion kit!?!? Do they make it for the front and back? Please let me know I am interested.

My sentiments exactly. 5 lug on a first gen would be awesome. Give us unknowing people the skinny.

I see you took my "suggestion" to use the RESpeed brake kit up front. Looking good so far!
Billy is a top-notch supplier, in my book.

What do you plan on doing about the rear? Cause a 5 lug swap is on the to do list for my T2 swap car, just not sure what I plan on doing about the rear....

Well the kit is only made for the front, but in the rear im going to run a ford 8.8" diff. From there I am going to find some brakes that will work for the rear.

Rogue_Wulff thanks for keeping my head screwed on straight, its nice to goto the 5 bolt now. Rather then regretting it when I have 4 bolt rims...

Looking Good!

Thanks for the props guys. I am glad we could help each of you on your projects.

We have been looking at it and plan to build a ReSpeed first gen using the parts we manufacture as well as sell. Should be fun. Keep an eye out for it.

No problem Dan. You just owe me a couple pics when you're done with it. That would likely inspire me to go ahead and build the one I have been plotting.

Billy, I'd love to see a 1st gen built by you. With the quality of items you manufacture, I can only assume a car would be top notch as well.

Looks nice, is there a way to do the big brake kit and keep the hubs 4 lug so the front/rear wheels match/can be kept?

You can use the 2nd gen 4 lug hubs rather than the 5 lug hubs. This bolt pattern will match the GSL-SE rearend. (4 x 114.3)
