That kinda looks like a RB header, just without the Rb logo

RB headders if i remember dont cross over...they stay on the same side for the whole lengh...but the rear pipe (one on the inside) pops up to make both sides the same lengh...which can heat up your intake maniforld...which is why RB intakes have the heat sheild...this design doesent do that.

i should have mentioned that they are called fredders cuz the guy who designed them is called fred..ha ha

2mm... thats it ?

high pressure blah blah... i dont know what the rest of that means.

mine are 0.250" or like 9mm wall... 1400* race pipes, and i STILL had a blow out last year.

no.. Just a 12a Non ported or honed, with Half hour Straight at the 5,500-9,500 RPM range gets a little warm.

most of the time its lightly Glowing by the time i am done.

I dont run national either, just regional,
there is only 1 track in region,
and 1 that we Visit and run within our Series for Points.
9 or 10 races in a season, with entry fee and gas tires food etc etc.
about $5,000 a year, maybe a little less. Assuming i dont Fawk much stuff up.

Body work and Paint get expensive (only once so far, knock on wood.)

nice...when i was 16 i told my dad i wanted to race and he called me a ******* idiot...and that i would go bankrupt...but i think i will get into it next year...i have a few chassis around...and some extra cash...

in manitoba from what i have heard you run in the "under 2 liter" class in a rex...so i would be up against civics and small displacement european stuff...easy prey!

Thats what i thought too.,

but the CRX's are DOMINATING my class
Followed Closely by a Miata

Then i (all rx-7's) run with the Golf's and Mr2's

And i'm only 1 second off the fastest time set by a 12a FB
But the Lap Record ITA is CRX 2 Seconds faster than THAT.
so i'm 3 seconds off, my fastest lap to his.... no way to keep up with THAT

1.3 ??????????????? WITH 120 ???? wow... god they WOULD be kicking our asses then.

that motor is lighter yet. but only producing 60 hp. at the crank

the 1.5 or 1.6 is what they can run
1.5 you can be lighter but its only 92 HP
1.6 you have to carry 140 extra lbs but you have 108 HP.

our rotary is 1.146L - and rated at 102HP and we have to be 150 lbs HEAVIER than the CRX with the 1.6L

PLUS they are FUEL injected, and have the abilty to chip.

We arent even allowed to JET our Crappy Carbs.

crx can do exhaust too.
isnt tooo much of a rats nest on a 12a... but its gone, you can do that on a crx too.
no porting, none, for anyone
no polishing, none, for anyone.

i would est my car at about 120. but the crx's with chipping and others can get alot more than that.

Dito that in CSP autocrossing.

This year a new MR-2 won at nationals though. Then it was Miatas and CRXs for the rest of the top 9 and the same MR-2 with a different driver in 10th (the last trophy spot).

The only rotary powered car was an RX-3 way down in 20th and 23rd out of 35 total entries. Not half bad for a 28 year old car.

yes the CRX corners very very well.i've driven both prepped for ITA ( we have both). Very twitchy car. the rx7 is easier for people who just get into the sport since its so forgiving. damn FWD cars. and yes our crx is slightly faster. but we nicknamed the rx7 ole faithful just because on race day the 7 always seem to run while the others in the team are working on the damn honda.....makes my life easier atleast.

hmmm, I need a Fredder, I assume that they are named after the one and only Fred? Does he make these still, or did he just design them....If you know where I could find a header here in wpg. for a 12a (85) or if you could make me one of those you should let me know, im interested in finding a header as quickly as possible because my exhaust just gave out last night and I decided to basically rebuild the whole thing with a header, so if you.....or anyone can help me out with a header here quick let me know (pm me or something) and im sure we can work out a deal. Thanks.

Why not put a nice 79 Rx7 into the race since they have the lightest body?
