my new dash

I finally finished my dash, it used to be faded maroon, but i took the dash out of a parts car and now its black, with new gauge faces and i painted the blue on different parts. i even took out and painted the metal bracket that holds the dash on. i dont have a picture at night yet, but it has blue lights behind it so it should light up blue and now yellow, i cut out new blue plastic pieces and took out the yellow ones that are up in the gauge cluster that make the lights seem orange when stock, i cant see if will be a bright blue yet though because there is no motor or any wires hooked at the moment. but i'll post more picks when i get the engine and all the other stuff back in the engine bay
heres my page

A bit bright for my tastes, and IMHO the accents should be done in body colour, not a contrasting blue... but that IS just my opinion. The work itself seems well done and I'm sure you take great pride in it - you obviously put a lot into it.

N.B. - if you plan to paint the car that colour of blue, ignore my first remark

mantiss the color isnt quite that brite, the flash was reflecting some, but the car will be a midnight blue with metallic. i think it will look pretty good along with the different blue inside for a highlight, it matches the calipers and springs

Being a blue freak, I like it. Gave me an idea or two. Keep up the good work.

its OSHA blue spray paint with clearcoat on top. make sure u clean and PRIME the plastic though, if you dont the paint doesnt stick to it all and when u do another coat of paint be really carefull because the paint dissolves itself kind of, really weird painting some kinds of plastic, do alot of light coats. the dash wasnt too hard to take out, well it was at first because i had no idea what i was doing but getting it back together and the wires in the right places, espesially if you take out the metal frame for it can take some time, but it was worth it
