My New Baby

I just bought this beautiful 84 GS from a friend of mine. For $700 it's in remarkably good shape.

The only real damage is all cosmetic. Theres a dent on the front left fender that caused some slight rust damage, the front left turn signal is broken, and the left tail light cover is broken (its glued back in now....but theres still some residue from the duct tape). Its also got a little bit of upholstery damage inside.

But the mechanics are all in pretty good shape.

So far i've put in Panasonic 4" speakers in the front, and i bought some Alpine type R's for the rear, tho i will need to do a custom install for those. I also put in a new Kennwood head unit. I replaced the front brake rotors as well as the seals, races, and bearings, and put on new brake pads.

My Mariah Mode 4 body kit is on its way, and it's getting a paint job (and new left fender) once it gets here. I'll probably make a post about this later, and hopefully i can make an installation guide for it as i can't find one anywhere else on this site. Anyone have any tips for me before i start installing it? I've heard the front bumper/airdam can be kinda tricky.

Im looking for some new rims, preferably 4x110 bolt configuration. Anyone know of some good 15's i could get?

I'm trying to do this cosmetic work before i deploy, i'll be doing some more serious upgrades when i get back from iraq.

congrats on the find, and happy rotoring. a qualified body shop can deal with the body kit and koni rewinds are about the only rim you will find nowadays with that bolt pattern still being produced. you can get some wheel adapters to help increase your selection of rims. thats my .02
