I'll 2nd that. need to have even borders, seal them up and lay a thin sheet of lexan over them heat to shape and trim.
The hood louvers are tastefully done I think, conservative, could maybe be a little smaller.

WOW! vented hood, hood pins, and now the lights. You need to hang some fuzzy dice from the mirror to finish the project. By the way, I like chicken chow mein and peking duck with my rice.

I'm looking forward to seeing more pics of this car as you progress!

this dude. I bet it will look good when he's done, so in the mean time go
and
you
I too would like to see the finished product, dispell any thoughts of "rice". I'm sure with paint and finishing touches I can be proven wrong. Congrats on the effort none-the-less, whether it looks rice to some or not, you had the ***** to try, and only an artist can make an original. Geeeesh, thoughtless comments, we all have an opinion, I like the oringinal "factory" look. Buuuuuuuut, if someone else can make a calssy original, all the power to them. Hell, I saw a multicolor 2dr caddy with gold (bronzed??) rims today, some would call it a pimp wagon, but I like the creativity and thought it looked cool. Some change the look with rims, color, etc, to each their own. I'll give the guy credit, this project is original, I'm tired of seeing the BMW vents on the front fenders of hondas though, so please don't do that.
Ignore the comments about the looks, to each his own.
But as for the light pattern/spread, got any pics? THATS something worth thinking about. It may look good but will it light up the streets at night?

I like it. I think it'll look sweet when it's done!
Have you had a chance to test it out at night yet to see if it hurts your visiblity? And also, how hard is it going to be to change bulbs?

all gaps will be filled.
the light pattern is very even, i was testing last night and they are pointed too far downward...i'll make a few slight adjustments.
and i respect all comments, be they good or bad. if i wasn't expecting criticism i wouldn't have posted any pics
keep in mind these modifications aren't JUST for looks. i did that to the hood to aid cooling, and the headlights are to shave weight.
if it looks as good as it is functional when i'm done, i'll be even happier

I'd personally get a very thin sheet of plexiglass, tint it, lay it over the top and attach it around the border with wood screws, i wouldn't bother moulding it in. It'll help gain a little in aerodynamics this way also and look more professional.
imho it looks too much like the old 300zx around the lights, but hey I totally respect him for doin his own thing, othere than that, I love it, man how long has all of this taken you? You have great amounts of dedication too your car and that is something alot of cars cannot say, and I definetly would not call that rice
the progress you see is over 2 days. the hood took like an hour of actual cutting, the planning took much longer(deciding what i wanted, and how to do it)
the headlights are still a work in progress, i may cover the headlights with lexan..may not. the main purpose was to shed a few more pounds by removing the electric motor as well as the assembly that lifts up.
i'm not trying to win any car shows with this thing, just autocross
