sounds closely like a fusible link problem. upgrade to the FC unit if you know how 2 set it up.

What do you mean by a new battery? Is it right off the shelf, or is it months old and has been sitting?. When you say that it is cranking and the battery goes out. Are you stating that the motor stops turning and that all you get is a clicking noise, or it cranks and then there is nothing?

i am sorry i should have make everything clear
the battery is fully charged from my another gsl-se
when i try to start the car, the starter and engine did not crank at all (nothing at all) and then the battery goes out
i have to disconnect and reconnect the battery terminal to light up everything again

I am going to guess that when you put it back in your other Se (battery), the car starts?
Check to make sure that the cables are clean, use a battery brush. If you have a build up of lead deposits on the terminals it will not allow current to flow thru the battery and to the starter. Also as Do luck has stated, check the appropriate fuseable links.
Also verify that you can turn the motor by hand by applying pressure to the fan belt and turning the pulley by hand. The motor should turn, of course, make sure the trans is in nuetral. If the motor does not want to turn than there is a bigger problem. There is also a possibility of a bad ground or starter, or wiring to the starter. You can bypass the solenoid on the starter by either using a remote starter switch and disconnecting the terminal at the top and running one lead from the remote starter to the small terminal and the other to the
positive battery terminal on the starter. Also try putting the good battery back in your se.
Put another battery in the one that will not start. Hook up jumper cables and do not put the negative cable from the jumper cables to the battery on the one that iwll not start. In other
words run the ground to the alt bracket and keep the car running (other se), so that their are amps being transferred with extra voltage from another car. Yes i know it's getting confusing, but it's either this or pay someone to diagnose it

Oh, my young Grasshopper. You have so much to learn.
Because there are not many technicians or mechanics willing to work on these cars. The forum has probably saved the 7's from extinction
And to boot because the majority of FB owners are too cheap to pay someone to work on their cars We who have learned to repair and diagnose the problems associated with these cars are educating the newbies to carry on the rx7 popularity. Then they can pass on this info to their children so they to can buy big bottles of aspirin to take when their 7's stop running
