my first 1st gen

having had rx7's [2nd,3rd gens] for the past 10 yrs. after seeing so many 1st gens during this time, I ended up buying one. I am impressed so far.

It is a 82 GSL with a streetport, sidedraft mikuni/s, rb intake, rb header and exhuast, rb springs, tokico blue struts/shocks, short shifter, aftermarket clutch pack?, and some other.

my question is the body is a little rough and where can i find what year parts fit this car? 79-85? some of them? all of them?
mostly concerned with body panels and interior stuff right now.
thanx

Interior parts are mostly interchangable on years, being 79+80, 81-83 and 84+85 for some stuff. Body parts are the same for 79+80 and 81=85. The main differences are bumpers.

81-83 for interior stuff and 81-85 for the body. *some* 79 and 80 body panels may work but it depends on what. Welcome to the simple side of the darkside LOL

welcome to the world of 1st gens, now you're playing w/ the most pure, true to form Rx-7. as said in earlier posts, 79-80 doors and fenders are a little different. they will still bolt on the 81-85 body but the side moulding are a little different. as for interior pieces the main difference between each years design is mostly with the center consol, shifter suround and guage cluster, and 79-80's had different door panels.

Use mazdatrix.com and blackdragon.com for reference when it comes to parts.
