Thanks! I wanted to get 'em powder-coated but the guy wanted 50 bucks a pop. At that price it just wasn't worth it. Even though I rattle canned these I think they'll hold up. Time will of course tell.

I also sprayed my stock rims this weekend, but I did the whole rim. Mine where peeling bad and I just wanted to cover them up. lol I was running some 17's on it, but they get old fast. Ride is much better and the car even feels faster with the stock 13's

I did the exact same thing to mine, make sure you put a few layers of brake dust resistant clear coat on there or you'll have to polish them every week.

Thanks for the kind words guys! It makes it look like whole different car IMO. I like the way the wheels seem to set off the black trim. I wonder how she'd look with some darker tinted windows? hmmmmm...

ioTus - a special thanks to you my friend! It was your quick photoshop work that convinced me to "got for it" and it came out just as I envisioned. Thanks!

Matty's first 1st Gen - yeah I have like 4 or 5 coats of polyurethane "wheel" clearcoat on those suckers. I hope that's enough!

yea good advice about clearcoat, when i redid my wheels i used clearcoat made for wood (oops should have read the label a little better) and after going through the winter its all flaking off and turning yellow. Oye, oh well, time to redo them again i guess. Where do they sell wheel specific clear coat?

I got it at my local auto store.

To be honest I have 2 kinds of clear coat on my wheels. I started with 2 coats of "Glisten-PC" from POR-15. It's a two-part hardening clear coat. It woulda been perfect but the problem is I didn't have a spray gun so I brushed it on. Not good! It came out all uneven and kinda looked crappy. I let that clearcoat cure for a few days, lightly sanded it then spayed several coats of the polyurethane wheel clearcoat over top of it. I'm pretty happy with the results.

Looks decent for a 13" rim. I prefer the SE rims instead. Too bad the bolt patterns are different.

Peace-
