I nursed my project car up to a trusted RX-7 mechanic/friend yesterday to get a little insight on why it is running like sh*t gone through a blender. He said, and I quote, "You can either give me $700 to fix the stock wiring, pay $700 for a carb, or get an EMS for $700." Boy, that's just the news I was looking for

Anyway, I have decided to but a stand alone engine management system. Whoopee. I'm planning on getting a Microtech system and either ditching the stock CAS for a dizzy or running the CAS with upgraded coils. Kinda weird to think that I'm going through all this for a non turbo 13B, huh?

On a plus note, between my sweet gauges, many toggle switches, hood pins, momo wheel, and now the EMS, every ricer in town is envious. And isn't that who we're really trying to impress?

Be sure that I'll keep everyone updated. I'm planning on ordering everything on Tuesday of next week (need to scare up some more gravy ). Meanwhile, will port intake manifold, ditch remaining emissions, remove more weight, etc.
