my car stinks. no, really

put on the full RB exhaust. man its sweet. before the exhaust, i was typically 2 seconds behind the miata in my class. at the last event, i lost by .3 actually turning some heads now, people asking for advice and rides. i still turn the same, just go faster out of the turns and through the straits, makes all the difference. sorry, the reason for the thread. . . during warmup and even a little while warm and driving, the exhaust absolutely stinks. my friend driving a ways behind me called my cell to say she could smell the car. now, when i changed the exhaust, i broke the O2 sensor wire, but i think i got it soddered back together alright. would a new sensor cure the smell? or is this just typical?

Without a functioning catalytic converter, the exhaust from a rotary is only slightly better for you than working in a coal mine.

That is a great way to discribe the exhaust smell. HA

Install DLIDFIS and the exhaust stink will be reduced. That is, if it's legal in your racing class.

Just hang an air freshener on your tailpipe.

If you want stank, stand behind a '79-80 RX equipped with the thermal reactor.

Plants wilt in my wake.

hehe, i did full RB exhaust too... smell did go up but i didn't complain since it wasn't as bad as yours (so it seems)... at idle you can smell the classic smell of some unburnt fuel and what not... but when i bring up the rpms, everything is fine...

if all else fails, do what cody says!

Get that liquid air freshener that you pour in the gas tank. It comes out smelling good, supposedly.
