My car (2min 30sec vid) :D

Hey guys,

Well there she is ... its a very small vid of it but more will be coming (probably some donoughts, bit of drifting, and stuff like that. but that will all come after I get my exhaust in and I get inssurance.)

This vid basically show the condition of the car now, how it sits on the tokico blue, and eibach springs, i also tried to show my rebuilt calipers and then painted red, me running the engine and how it sounds just with the header on, and a very small clip of me running it a bit on the block (couldn't go too fast cause of kids in the neighbourgh hood.)

Let me know how you think its starting to look

I will probably get some videos of it after i install my magnaflow muffler, so that you guys can see how it sounds.

This is the link for the vid:

seeing as you live in Canada I suggest that you start undercoating the hell out of the bottom of her or there will be serious rust problems in the near future especially with all the snow we get and the amount of salt used on the road!!

if he is really serious about this i dont think he will be driving it in the winter (personally i think anyone who does that is out of their mind) but he should still undercoat it

Read what he wrote. He said it was an open header.

Anyway, what size is the file? I'm having trouble downloading it with any kind of speed and I have DSL. Mind you, I'm working on a wireless connection with a low signal strength, so that probably doesn't help.

I FINALLY saw the video, after waiting about 15 min on great highspeed connection.

Anyway, sounds like your car has a pretty bad miss there. Sounds like its in the ignition to me. When was your ignition system serviced last?

well i bought the car last year ... the engine wouldn't start and stuff ... and i've been working on since then to get ti to this point ... i just changed the spark plugs about a week ago, so can't be bad plugs unless its a timing issue which i'll be checking soon.

It could be a timing issue, but I'm thinking its something with the distributor cap and rotor. Get a new cap and rotor, and at the very least you can have piece of mind that its not that. I picked mine up for $45 from a car specific place like Napa.
Do NOT get these kind of things from Canadian tire. All their basic maintenance stuff sucks. I got an alternator belt from them one for my 7 and within 500 km it stretched sooo much that I could turn the alternator pulley by hand. The alternator was at its limit of adjustment too.

ya i never buy anything from crappy tire as far as car parts go. their se rvice suck anyways. The cap that I have I actually pulled out of a gsl-se cause the one that was on my car was cracked ... does the gsl and gsl-se have different caps?

They are the same, at least to my knowledge. Besides the non-electronic dizzy in 79 and prior rotaries, all the distributors are the same.
