My 12a won't idle
Hey guys,
So I have just finished mounting my 12a into a british sports car but I can't get the engine to idle. it will run off the execrator pumps when I throttle it but only for about 10-20 sec. then it stalls out. I am assuming it is carburator (stock nikki) related...
(in the picture)
hose all the way to the left is T'd and connected to the dizzy.
bigger one connected to the manifold runs to a dodge caravan pcv valve which is connected to the oil fill rod.
everything else is plugged
is this plumbed correctly? the engine is also gravity fed, would not having a fuel pump cause this? is it possible that not enough back pressure from the exhaust is the problem? could the dizzy timing be off?
any insight would be very appreciated.

Nikki requires 3 psi max, not 6 psi.
Not sure how your nikki is modified to run as it is. Could be a vacuum leak.
That vacuum line to the dizzy I would cap until you get it running and then mess with the vacuum
advance.
