just like the tittle says im thinking of transplanting a 13B into my 85 gsl. but what are some cost $$ numbers i should look forward to spending. i want the 13B to be carburated so i dont have to play with all the fuel injected stuff.(keep it plan and simple)
what do u guys think this should cost $ engine $ ??? labor $ ??? total amount????

if i decided to try to transplant the motor myself with some friends and alot of beer how much im i looking to spend after i break something(HAHA)

well, what 13b you planning on using? 4 port or 6 port? used or new? stock or not?

heres some things youll have to buy:

engine mount to mount 13b in 12a car- $80 from racing beat
intake manifold for whatever carb youre going to use
carb if you want to change your set up
fuel pump and FPR if you want to get better performance from the carb
engine
clutch set up if it doesnt have one

the more serious question, whats your budget?

you could get a used 2nd gen engine and do all the mods to it to drop into a first gen. you could get an old school 4 port 13b. you could make your own 4 port 13b.

id suggest making your own 4 port 13b with S5 NA rotors and a streetport.

thanks for the reply aws. as for the motor used would always be cheaper. i was thinking of pulling or buying a used 2nd gen motor. as for what my goals are???

i just want something a bit faster with maybe a header and and exhaust. nothing wild just something stock and dependable dependable wow i said the "D" word
