mufflers....

Hey
i got pulled over by the cops again tonite (ive lost count of the times now) for exsesive noise and speeding. neither stuck, but i think i need a quieter mufler so....does anyone have an idea of what i can do to shut it up/ replace it with, thats fairly cheap and quiet? ivegot a header, and ive already got a cherrybomb on it before the sebring, but its still loud as hell. i cant really afford a racing beat muffler at this time, so could anyone offer a suggestion? mods are in sig...

magnaflow makes good mufflers that can take the heat. pacesetter dual resonated tips help reduce a few db's and reduce the raspiness of the rotary's sweet song.

the cherrybomb is very cheep and most likly melted and may be making your car louder. for a glass pack style muffler you need one that will handel the heat. dynomax race bullets and magna packs have had some good results on our cars. with this style the longer the internal tube the more quite. I run 2 dyno max bullets in front of the axle.

Edelbrock RPM muffler after cat, then muffler of choice after axle....that should do the trick....

I was running two flowmasters stacked side by side for the rear part...you could actually talk in a normal voice at idle and it had a roar like an old English sportscar above 2500 rpm gutteral, not raspy or lawnmower,,,it'd raise the hair on your arms when going through a bridge underpass....
