is this to much carb?

I was in the process of finding a holley 465 for my truck and remembered I have a edelbrock 500 I took of my landcruiser and was wondering if it will work on a 12a stockport rb intake and custom header just need it temporary till I see if the rest of this jesse james project holds up

You can make it work with a fpr and tuning but you will experrience some bogging "lag" when you stomp on the gas, hold out for the 465 it will be matched for the stock ports. P.s Got any pics of the headers and the process of making them?

there is a pic on here of the header look for pics of rotorysuzuki all we did was take a rb unass.kit and a pacesetter cut them up and weld back together to go from pass. side under trans and down driverside with long primaries to reach crossmember where the cloector mounts to 2.5" otu the back with a raptor

FPR fuel pressure regulator.....IF there is one it should be right before the carb.... if not buy one at autozone... not very expensive but will make tuning a lot easyer...

for fuel pressure regulators the round dial type ones that chain auto parts stores sell are junk. like the purolator one.

you want a nice holley fuel pressure regulator and an autometer gauge threaded right into it. all of which can be purchased @ summitracing.com

I wonder if a peejay carb spacer would help since the carb is not a Racing Beat modified one.

I also have a 1" carb spacer that I'll use with my Edelbrock carb. I'll cut channels so both rotors can see each other, but I'll koep primaries and secondaries seperate. This should reduce the tendancy to go 'pig rich' at high RPM.

I find a common mistake among hot rodders is that they often select carbs that are too big.

I took a Holley 750 off of a 280Z the other day and put on a 390 it made a night and day difference.

The guy thought i was some kind of genious or something. I did not tell him until after he drove it that I put n a smaller carb. Nothing I could say or do would have convinced him before hand.
