msd 6al question

does the rev limiter feature work on our cars(crane hi-6 msd 6al etc? it would only control the leading plugs and im wondering if it would still limit the rpms

i was wondering the same thing, but i figure if you get 2 of them one for leading one for trailing, then the rev limiter would controle both of them since there are 2 boxs?

right?

or go all out and get 3 box's one for each leading and one for the trailing. hardcore spark.

it is a bad idea to use the rev limiter on the box with it just on the leading plugs.. you would want to get a second one for the trailing and set it for the same rpm limiter if anything.. but i would suggest going out and getting 2 without the limiters and save yourself some cash and just shift better

MSD link

There was a web site that someone did a while back. It listed step by step how to upgrade to the MSD and to install it. It was a nice site and looked good. They only used one MSD box if I remember right.

Does anyone have the link still?

No the one I was talking about was made from some one on here. They has a MSD 6A with two blaster coils.
The blaster coils were mounted near the brake master/ clutch master area with a nice mount.

It will work as a rev limiter with a stock engine setup.

If your car is no longer stock (headers/porting/anything) then all bets are off.

I have far too much experience with this setup.

Check this site http://www.mazspeed.com/msd.htm I use the rev limiter and it has worked once since I tried to show off but it said no and did a great nose dive but that is way it is on the car for brain dead or brain freeze people like my self.
