More fun and games

So a few months ago I get my first ticket EVER. Not my first ticket in awhile, but the first ticket ot of my total of 12 years of driving. No front license on my car. (no bracket for it either, but hey). I argue it in court and they reduce the fine to $20. No problem.

Then I get a speeding ticket even though I was sitting at a stoplight when I was supposedly lasered.

Then I get a speeding ticket even though I was sandwiched between 4 other cars, all of which wre doing the legal limit.

Then I get another ticket for no front plate - the cop came to my house, went into the backyard, saw I still had no plate on the car... and circled the neighborhood for 1/2 an hour before finding me, all so he could write me another ticket.

Then I drive through the rockies to my father's wedding, only to narrowly escape death when my car careens off the road and rolls over in a rocky creekbed.

All in the span of 4 weeks.

So I've just returned home from a three week business trip and what do I receive in the mail? A letter from the provincial insurance monopoly stating that, due to four recent tickets and a total-loss accident I'm now declared an unsafe driver and I must report for an intensive interview within 15 days or lose my driver's license.

On top of things my insurance adjuster keeps changing the rules of arbitration and it looks like months before I'll see one cent of a settlement on my previous car.

Then they wonder why people are always pissed at them on the phone

mantis will you get a lawer already you are going to need it! were all these tickets in can? if the front plate ticket was in the us it would not count and the second plate ticket would have been unlawfull. the speeding tickets and the accident in a 90 day period would have been anuff in fla.

[rant]Yep, I recently got a ticket and had 3 damn good reasons--SOLID ******* REASONS--to unqualify the pig's ticket. Too bad the courts in Decatur, AL are ******* corrupt as hell. Not only do I hate the popo, I now hate the courts. Fair trial my ***.[/rant]

heh. As it was he threatened to arrest me for 'resisting' - he insisted he'd been 'pursuing' me when I 'evaded' him (he'd driven past me in the opposite direction just before I pulled into the alley behind my house to park - the fact that he in no way signalled me to pull over seems to have escaped him, and apparently parking in your own spot is 'evasion' )

Not all cops are bad. I don't right people for speed ing until they ar 11 over. I cut people breaks to. As for the license plate. That is a moving violation and you can not be charged if the vehicle is not in motion.

different states different laws.... i live in california like manntis. not having a front plate is a ticket period. if your car is registered its ticket worthy... just most cop dont pay attention or dont want to waist there time on a retarded ticket like that any way.

i was pulled over for speeding "5 mph over " and the cop parked in front of me. he looked at my front bumper (no plate) and just walked to the back. he just said "eh... you should realy get a front plate on. some cops give petty tickets" gave me my ticket and left... its ironic to because i was doing 50 in a 45 and he gave me a ticket for that... dont give out petty tickets eh?
