MMO / Powerfoam treatment

I know this has been discussed to death, I'm not gonna start any new sparks here, so don't worry. I just need one simple answer and then this thread can be disregarded!

I'm gonna try Wankelguy's method. I have an SE, with the EGI system. How exactly do I get the stuff into the engine? Spark plug holes? Wankelguy said 'down the intake', but I don't know exactly what this means in a non-carburated car... should I remove the intake manifold and reveal the intake ports? That just sounds like a lot of work.

I did a writeup on doing it to a FB awhile back. On the giant hose comming into your Throttle body there is a little hose that branches off. This little hose goes to the BAC, if you can jam the straw for the spray stuff(powerfoam is what i used) down into the big air intake tube. Then start, rev, and spray

Thanks guys. BigJim, I found your writeup. I think what I'm gonna do is a combination of both. First, your method through the air duct while running the engine, to clean the injection system, and then stop the engine and squirt some more through the spark plug holes, and let it sit for a bunch of hours. What do you think?

sounds like it should do the job, do the spark plug ones in a well ventailted area such as outside of a garage, in an open field, with hurricane winds, especially if your using mmo because there will be smoke, lots of smoke.

Yeah... maybe I'll turn it backwards by hand first to drain most of the stuff back out the spark plug holes before starting the engine.

That's a good idea. I drained almost all the MMO out of my 20B and it didn't smoke very much the first time I test fired it.
