MK1 short Shift kit

Does any know if it will it fit an1980 LS? Is there a difference form an 80 to an 81?

yes theres a difference. it wont fit the 79-80 tranny i believe

81+ is a whole different tranny, likewise the shift mechanism. A popular alternate - at least at one time -
was simply cutting down your existing shifter, re-thread the top and away you go.
