ok I mite be geting another 83 mazda rx7 and it have been in storage for 10 years and it works and it can be driven home. But the owner does not know if it is a gsl or a gs but i know the diffrents but it has a auto transmison and I was told that the auto transmison came with a fuel ingected no carb and I need to know is this true.

The automatics came either way. If it is an '83 it is carbed.

As far as the GS or GSL standings of the car, list some of the options it has. Like does it have a/c, cruise control, power windows, and power mirrors?

 

It would have to be a GSL-SE engine with everything.

Does it got disc brakes? A 83 GSL has the gsl emblem on the b-pillar.

 

the owner does not know if it has disc or drum. he never looked and mine never came with a GSL emblem on mine and it is a 83

 

Then yours isn't a gsl is it? If you have stock disc brakes, power windows etc. its a GSL

 

anything before 84 has to be carbed. If your looking at a GSL-SE its a 84-85.

All GSL's have discs all around.

mine have power windows and all dice brakes but it must of came off along time ago. and thanks for all the help guys. but i am not going to get it because the guy sounds like he does not know anything about them and he is a ********. and i will look in the FAQs.

where you going to be getting it as a project or as a parts car?

 

o was going to get it. if i was going to get it and if it was in beter shape i would use that and make my tan one as a parts because that one runs and been put away for like 10 years never seen snow. but like i said i am not going to get because he sounds like he does not know much about that car and the last time i called him to ask him if it was a gsl he was a dick to me. and that gust pissed me off and i dont wanna get a car from a ********.
