light switch problems take a look

i replaced my light switch 3 times and not one of them lasted a full week. they keep blowing out. the actual lights work the lid lever works the rear defrost works but the dimmer and parking lights blow out quick, so i cant drive at night. my blinkers,brake, reverse,and lights work .i cant figure this out and its pissing me off. because i am good with electrical and i dont get this. any way if you can get info on this i would appreciate it. does any one know what the problem mite be

Ddi you replace the harness as well? half the time when the switch goes it takes the light harness with it. And a bad harness will keep letting the genie out of a good switch.

And I just last night posted this same answer to someone elses "my lights don't work" question.
