Misting of Gas??????

I know that gas is leaking from the drivers side of my carb. Im thinking it the accel pump. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be leaking, or should I just replace the diaphram.

One more thing. When I shut my car off, I took off the top of my air cleaner, and there was mists of gas still in the carb constantly coming out for about 5 mins. What is this a sign of. Or is this completemly normal.

All your help will greatly be appreciated.

Sounds like what happened to my car when the floats wernt set properly, causing it to flood over a little.

Peace

If I got a carb rebuild kit, would that fix the problem?

Well, I wouldn't go that far just yet...but rebuilding a carb properly can definitely be a good thing.
First I'd want to get my hands on a Haynes manual and a metric ruler (mm) and check/reset the float level according to the specs listed.

by the time you've got enough of the carb apart to set the floats, you might as well rebuild the whole thing, IMHO. So I'd say, rebuild the sucker!

Does anyone else think that Damon's sig is a bit excessive?

I would say so. By rebuilding your returning the carb to it's most efficient status. (don't forget tuning)
