missing a Apex Seal Corner Triangle piece

today i removed the rear housing and try to swap that out because the one on the engine was broken
once i removed the rear housing i found out that one of the apex seal corner piece is missing
i talked to my friend and he told me that it is possible that it fell out and fly out the exhaust. is that possible? i don't mind buying anyother piece but my main concern is to make sure it is not dropped back into the engine and that could cause damage to the engine
anyone has any rebuilt experience can answer my question?

the apex seal and end triangle piece are supported when the engine is together. The spring tension sometimes causes the end piece or apex seal to fall out, if you look around, you'll find it. They can fall into the coolant passages of the rotor housing or iron housings when you are disassembling. Make sure it isn't still in the rotor groove.

No, it is impossible. If you look at how its put in there, you can see that there is no possible way for that to come out without first busting out the apex seal itself. Its essentially "wedged" in place.
