Cool The Minuki Aggressor

I was flipping through an issue of Rotary Rocket last night when I came up to a dyno chart from the magazine testing the Minuki Aggressor. The power increase was unbelievable! They went from 106 HP to a whopping 144 HP at 5400 RPM! Thats nuts! Anyone have any experience with this carb?

Do you mean Mikuni?

Only Mikuni I've heard of was the 44PHH or somesuch... and practically everyone has said that it's a pile of junk, both in design and in quality control.

Where was the power increase? at 5500 rpm or higher? How much power did it loose below that? What did the torque do? One thing that can't be stressed enough is the what belongs on the track and what belongs on the street. Sure the Mikuni kit boosted HP around 5400 rpm, but when do you drive like that? Only while racing. Get a system that increases HP accross the whole HP band (3K-8K). This makes the HP more useable for daily driving. The real biggie is torque. That is what you feel and that is what you want to increase the most. Torque will pull your car out of the cornes on a track. Look for mods that increase torque around 3-5K, where you will mostly be driving.
