I'm a bit scared as these guys sometimes do things for grins and giggles ... but it sounds like they really like / want to keep this example.

I have been following them for a few years and their builds seem to be getting better and better - more quality work and less "for the lolz". Hopefully this is the former! Will definitely be watching this tonight when I have more time

Looks like a very clean example. Here's hoping that they don't destroy the car.

Think he paid way to much for it though. Said he paid just north of 20k, and its not GSL-SE spec, or 13b, no info on rebuild date, over 200k, and he says it hasn't been reliable.

I dont think the GSLSE was sold in the AUS market. with that I thought the prices were in the $30-40k AUD for first gens there.

90% of all FBs made were LHD. So RHD examples are worth a lot more. It's not uncommon to pay north of USD$20k for a tidy RHD example in Australia or New Zealand. It's supply and demand 101, they're rare cars now.

Same thoughts here. I like some of their builds and hope they do the car Justice with whatever direction they go with the car and not some ricer build. Would have been nice if they kept it carb, even if they swapped to a Weber. I am sure they will go Haltech, just wondering what kind of intake and injection setup they will go with. I got my ITB from NZ, so maybe they will do something similar

i ran across an article where Mazda stated that they were expecting to build something like 5000 cars a month, with ~3000 going to Japan, but it was such a big hit here that they ended up selling 5000 a month just in the USA.
the parts fish has a list of monthly starting vins....
