Middle aged women and FB's
Is it just me or was the FB Rx-7 THE chick car of the 80's? On several different occasions I have been approached by 40 something year old women who always open with the same line, "I had an rx7 like this one, I loved it but it never started during winter." This has happened several times mainly at grocery stores, work, and the gym, it's interesting to be approached by a soccer mom to find out she wants to talk cars. Makes me wonder if I passed up a great opportunity to pick up older women when I was still single. Oh well as I sit down to think of what could've been, I fire up netflix and play an old knight rider episode just to see Micheal Knights girl friend show up in..... you guessed it.

The -7 was the "chick car" for "liberated" women who liked driving sports cars, which were kind of a new thing to run across in the late 70's early 80's.
Mazda did market heavily to the female market with the -7, as I recall; some of the design features, and even the owner's manual, show a lean toward addressing female thinking that was not common in sports cars at the time.

I was working on mine in the driveway the day after I got mine and this really hot MILF was getting her mail, she yelled across the street " Oh my God! I used to have a yellow one just like that! It was an 83. I haven't seen one since I told my dad he could give it to my brother. I'm gonna have to come by and go for a ride in it when it's running ." And that wink is no joke, I really got one from her lol. Can't wait to get her running now lol!

Definitely,
%100 stock look for nostalgic cougars,
%240 more HP for me, or to escape older women who never blossomed into cougarhood.
I've come to notice I do like older "girly," cars, miata, old fiats/alfa's, MG, really any roadster or any under powered and underweight car. The new girl cars are a different story, you can keep your pontiac sunfires and sebring convertibles, ick!
