I get this message on my phone sounds like Chris is out of breath.
Says something barely intelligable...some babbling about a supercharged rx-7 and an orgasm. (?)
I dunno.

So I search all my records for his number to call him back and I can't find it!

Call me and leave yer C#, Metallic Rock!

He's probably reassessing his life. From what I understand, it can lead to a need for a bit of solitude and spiritual introspective...a bit of "me" time.

Poor bastard probly is hiding out in the woods of Washington after such an experience!

Sterling, and everyone else... yes, I had a spiritual experience this past weekend....

It all started out at N/W Rotor Rally III. I was standing around in awe of all the beautiful Rx-7's and a 3 rotor Cosmo when I saw a silver 1st gen. I glanced at it... It said www.atkinsrotary.com on the windshield... I didn't think much of it. Then, this guy starts talking to me about his car... he said it was SUPERCHARGED. I was like... "Hey, are you Dan Atkins?" He said yes... we got to BSing... I was like "hey, you gotta let me drive that Supercharged 7. He said "ok" and handed me the keys!!!! I couldn't believe it... I was handed the keys to a SUPERCHARGED 1st gen!!! I got it out on the road, barely touching the throttle... pulled up to a light next to a big turbo charged diesel truck. I revved it, popped the clutch and HOLY ****!!! My heart and stomach were wrapped around my spine!!! It was an amazing experience... Thank god, there were no cops around, cause I went 0-60 in... well, faster than you can say "holy crap"

I'd like to thank Sterling, and everyone else who started the debates on whether Superchargers work on -7's or not, cause I got to find the answer... the answer is OMG, DOES IT WORK!!!!

Thanks for the religious experience, Dan!!!

now for me to get my car up and running again..... (see sig)

well, he said he was getting 28 mpg on the highway, so...

he had a holley carb on top of the supercharger

well, when I get a new -7, it's going to be a GSL-SE and I'm going to definitely put a SC on it.... no two ways about it. The S/C and the Turbo are about the same price, and the S/C is SO MUCH EASIER to install, and it looks better too. There's also less crap under the hood.

Dan- post pics of your engine bay... I don't think anyone here has seen it. I never had.

the dyno didnt lie. Those HP numbers were very true. The 308 rwhp 3rd gen got 307 rwhp on that dyno.

My car is FAR from running propperly.

Dan did some minor tuning on his car and got 178rwhp the next day.

I got 181 rwhp on my best pull, but then my boost cut out and the engine started doing wierd ****.

So i'm in the process of fixing the problem right now.

But yeah, that dyno, as far as HP numbers, was 100% accurate. the torque numbers were off until saturday, they had figured it out by then.

Well,
I do think the Dyno was off. I did checking from a few Dyno Techs here in WA state. Chassis Dynos are not accurate HP. Seems that some cars were way off on the reading on that Dyno, some were not.

Dave Randals car Dynos at 245, and he had done more work to his car, hoping to get 250. So he got 201.

If persay the Dyno machine was correct, then I suggest NO ONE get a supercharger. Take my car for a spin and tell me its almost stock. ha ha right.

This Friday, Im going to let Hornbm take my car for a spin when were out and about.

The only problem that I see with Superchargers are that they are definetly NOT made for carbs. I would go EFI with a supercharger. I plan on in the fall changing to fuel injection.

Im also going to buy another 1st gen and Turbo it. So many debates about Turbos and Superchargers, well I guess the only way to find out is to own one of each.

I have had the unexpected pleasure of driving atkins, dan's car tonight. I got in the car and mike from atkins rotary walks over to me and just wispers "stomp on it in second!" With a huge *** grin on my face I leave the parking lot, go through first then slam on second. all i can say is HOLY ****!!!!!

I was pinned into my seat, harder than a FD does. I used to work at mazda so I've had the privilage of driving a few modded fd's before, and this thiing feels WAY faster. The thing just kept on pulling. I ran out of road before I could get much of third though. but WOW.

I dont know who the hell started that rumor about superchargers not even working but whoever did needs to start eating their own **** for breakfast because it works.... oh man does it work.

Oh yeah dan... get some new brake rotors, man does your pedal pulse when you hit the brakes. I'm sure metallic rock knows what I'm talking about.

You've sold me on the super charger setup. Expect to see a weber powered supercharged beast under the hood of my car in the near future.

Well,
Ive never let anyone drive my car, but Im trying to sell my supercharged system for $1,500 which is a steal, so last night I let Ben drive my car. We know Ben is a bit crazy, and likes the power. So after Ben drove it I wonder what he thought. Im pretty sure Ben was convinced us supercharged peoples are rock and roll.

I'll ask him to post on what he thought.

My supercharger kicks a double s with the Holley 770. From my experience, a carb can run as well as FI as long as you take the necessary time to dial it in. You have to do the work that the management system does for FI.
