Yeah. Like I said, unless you're running v2 with alpha-n mode on there's no reason to worry that much about the TPS. It'll do it's job transitioning from cruise to decel and from cruise to WOT just fine, so I'm not worried about the fact that it's railed out at such low throttle openings. Plus, like I said way earlier, the vac gauge goes to almost atmo right around the time the TPS goes to 100%.

Anyway, keep in touch with how your install goes, if you need any help contact me here or by e-mail
(should be in my profile).

Matt,

Good to hear you are making progress. One item to keep in mind with the TPS is that it is used to trigger open loop operation as well. From looking at the code, at tps voltages above 3.5v closed loop operation is disabled.

I found a Ford Escort full-span TPS quite easy to adapt. I added the appropriate pins and a Mazda 3-conductor plug to the Ford part, and it now plugs into the oem harness like it was meant to be there. Now my cludged up bracket... That's another matter.

Roger,
Thanks! Your help has meant alot, I'm actually running your VE table at the moment. The Closed loop doesn't bothor me, since the stock ECU seemed to do the same thing, plus this is mostly a weekend warrior/race car so I'm not worried about emissions / fuel economy

If only the weather would warm up a little I could solder the wires up for the temp sensors and actually start testing the car, I can't even get the soldering iron to heat up in the garage!

How's the dual table staged injection thing going? Eric seems to think that his code is pretty stable now.

good luck,
matt

In that case, you are all set with the stock unit as-is.

I've run various pre-release versions of the DT code, and now have a config that is working very well. I am presently feathering in the secondaries at about 4000 rpm, via the secondary map. It pulls clean right to red-line, where Eric's new rev limiter kicks in.

I wasn't aware Eric had added the rev limiter code, and my MS-Palm program (for the Palm interface) was accidentally setting the rev limiter set point to zero rpm, and killing the engine when I attempted to burn VE table changes... Lots of fun to debug!

The efi project has been a great learning experience. I can't wait to get my old '79 injected.

Keep us to date on your project!

Roger
