Megasquirt.

Has anyone used a Megasquirt System for their 84-85 SE? Are you happy with it? How does it compare to some of the other aftermarket ECU systems?

I'm using a MegaSquirt on an EFI conversion in the S model. I just pulled the carb tank today. I need to do a POR 15 treatment on a rusty GSL-SE tank before I can stick it in. Gotta upgrade all the lines too.

TAS,

I did go on the MS Forum, but it was like jumping into the middle of many conversations at once. I would like to learn what makes the MS ECU superior/inferior and if it is something that I may want to consider in light of the inexpensiveness of the product compared to other ECU systems.

With that said, I would like to hear from someone in the forum that has used this system and knows a lot about it.

you mite want to look at sds hope ill spell it right simple digital system , you dont need a laptop to program ect. then theres the msd system thats going to run like 1400$. just figured id throw those out. me and my buddy are rebuilding modding a 1984 rs turbo capri. we got two motors one sohc 2.3 for and then the second motor where useing another ford 2.3 block but with a volvo dohc head. mg/sds/msd systems all look to be pretty good .

the good thing about the sds system is you dont need a laptop and heck you even can get a kit for a 20 b.
