Mechanical OMP

I was wondering if anyone had a good picture of a gsl-se omp. I'm wondering if they adjust the same as on a 12a engine or do you just use shims to adjust the omp rod to adjust flow. Also, does the omp flow with the actuator in the full lowered position?

Ditch the whole thing and run pre-mix 2 stroke oil in the gas tank.

I don't want to ditch it, I just want to see if it is out of adjustment or not. The pump lever is in the full down position with the pump rod just touching the lever when it's all together. I can't get under my car to see how it adjusts and was just wondering what were the specs of the omp, e.g. does it have the adjuster and locknut on the omp lever?

well ... i'm paraphrasing from Chilton (too much hassle to get my Haynes right now)

basically, they said, get the engine up to normal operating tempertaure

pull the lines and put them over some sort of container.

rev the engine to 2000 RPM and hold it there for 6 minutes

it should deliver anywhere between 2.4 and 2.9 cc of oil in the container

to adjust it ... you turn the adjustment screw (from the picture ... it looks like you'll have to remove the skidplate and do it from the bottom of the car ... sorry!)

then when you've adjusted it to within spec ... check the rod clearance and adjust that using washers as shims, if necessary.

hope this helps ... sorry, no scanner and no pics ... i'm poor
