MAYDAY!MAYDAY! Somebody save my ***!!!

I picked up a used motor the other day and tonite I started getting it ready to install. Everythings going pretty well except for the engine wiring loom. I have the vacuum rack solenoid things on (color coded snap-ons) as well as the carb plugins.
My problem lies with a bundle of connections that are located just around the snap in to the back of the alternator. I cannot find a place for these and there are 3 of them. Can someone shoot me an easy diagram or maybe a picture of the engine bay? I really am at a loss on this; I spent an hour tonight just studying the engine, trying to figure out what I was missing.
The engines not in the car yet it hanging from a block and tackle in my garage. I just can't seem to find where these last couple of things connect. Anyone know?

Almost forgot it is a 12A engine out of an '85. the car and wiring harness is '84 12A I don't think that should matter though.

one more thing, isn't the alternator supposed to have a ground wire or something? I remember the little bolt on the back but I don't see the wire or where its supposed to lead to.

can those wires extend to the passenger side of the engine to the side of the carb?

If they can, that's your best bet.

I took a look at mine, which is a 12a as well... no ac tho...

this is what I found:

There are only three wire harnesses/clips that I can see. They go to the alternator, thermostat, and a device that is located at the bottom of the carb.

Also, the ground cable that goes to the alt is located on the cabling that runs up to the bottom of the distributer.

here are some pics i borrowed from David Pitt... THANX DAVE!

wow, thank you!
I'm a little worried that my carb is missing those wires though. I don't know; its possible I somehow didn't see them.
