My choke cable is frozen and my car has be come a real bitch to start cold, is there a lever that i can manually push with my finger on the carb? If so does anyone have a pic of said lever? and could you post it? Thanks for your time

just give it a little gas but not too much and after the engine start, rev it to like 2000 rpm for around 2 mins, then just let go and let the car warm itself up... My choke cable broke 2 weeks ago, and that is what i had been doing...

Looking at the carb from the passenger side, you will see the choke lever attached to the butterfly. You should be able to actuate it that way. However you're not going to get very far doing that, since the butterfly is spring loaded and will snap back open unless its under tension. Your best bet is to find a new cable.

I'm thinking its a little cooler in NY than CA...lol. Are you saying the cable is frozen from cold or by other obstructions. Either way you need to get that cable freed up, try lubricating it with a graphite oil down the cable and working it gently back and forward until it frees up. Once its free I use a graphite powder in my locks etc to stop the liquid from freezing in the cold.

My choke handle froze up last week, and I just sprayed some WD-40 on the choke itself, and that fixed it.

put pedal to the floor when you are starting the car....i have a carb. 13B in amherst, and that is what i do to get it starting. just letting the car try and turn over is not enough. so i put my foot to the floor in order to start it.

Sounds like you mighta kinked the cable. it happens. Cheap fix would be to pull one from a scrapyard donor.
